Table Transparency
  adcott

12:39am 04/05/2002
  This is if you want to see your background image through the entry/navigation tables.

GLOBAL_HEAD<=
<style type="text/css">
<!--
.altposter, .metabox, .necorn, .entrybox, .currbox, .swcorn, #secorn, .nav {
background:transparent;
}
-->
</style>
<=GLOBAL_HEAD

This will remove the background colors yet keep the borders, if you want the borders to be gone too use this override:

GLOBAL_HEAD<=
<style type="text/css">
<!--
.altposter, .metabox, .necorn, .entrybox, .currbox, .swcorn, #secorn, .nav {
background:transparent;
border:0;
}
-->
</style>
<=GLOBAL_HEAD

If you allready have a GLOBAL_HEAD override you will have to merge the two together in order for them to work correctly. Please see this tutorial for how to do so.

  adcott

12:09am 04/05/2002
  This only works in select browsers:

GLOBAL_HEAD<=
<style type="text/css">
<!--
table {direction:rtl;}
td table {direction: ltr;}
-->
</style>
<=GLOBAL_HEAD

(this override works with all styles with a sidebar i.e. Punquin, Refried Paper aswell)

If you allready have a GLOBAL_HEAD override you will have to merge the two together in order for them to work correctly. Please see this tutorial for how to do so.

Changing link names
  adcott

11:25pm 03/05/2002
  You MUST have a website selected in your userinfo page in order for this override to work:

LASTN_WEBSITE<=
<style type="text/css">
<!--
#navlink a, #navlink br {display:none}
#navlink .show {display:inline}
-->
</style>

<a class="show" href="http://www.livejournal.com/users/YOUR USERNAME/friends">Friends</a>
<br class="show"><a class="show" href="http://www.livejournal.com/userinfo.bml?user=YOUR USERNAME&mode=full">Info</a>
<br class="show"><a class="show" href="http://www.livejournal.com/users/YOUR USERNAME/calendar">Calendar</a>
<=LASTN_WEBSITE

areas in bold are those that need to be changed.

This should really be classed as a "hack" and thus would be much better accomplished with a paid account.

Changing the date/time format
  adcott

11:18pm 03/05/2002
  This alters the display of the date and the time for each post:

LASTN_DATE_FORMAT=>%%12hh%%:%%min%%%%ampm%% %%dd%%/%%mm%%/%%yyyy%%

FRIENDS_DATE_FORMAT=>%%12hh%%:%%min%%%%ampm%% %%dd%%/%%mm%%/%%yyyy%%

DAY_DATE_FORMAT=>%%12hh%%:%%min%%%%ampm%% %%dd%%/%%mm%%/%%yyyy%%

where;
%%12hh%% = 12 hour clock
%%min%% = minutes
%%ampm%% = am or pm (with two letters and lowercase)
%%dd%% = day (with two digits, i.e 07 instead of 7)
%%mm%% = month (with two digits)
%%yyyy%% = year (with four digits)

a full list of properties (?) for the format of the date/time can be found here
